Independent Board Members
Dan Burnham is the former Chairman and CEO of Raytheon Company, a leader in the defense, government and commercial electronics markets. Prior to joining Raytheon, he was Vice Chairman of AlliedSignal, Inc. and President of AlliedSignal Aerospace. In 2000 Dan received a Presidential appointment as Chairman of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. He also served as Chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association from 2001 to 2003. In 2002, Dan was named Six Sigma Executive-of-the-Year by the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals. Dan is a director of First Data Corporation, FleetBoston Financial, Green Hills Software, the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and LMI. He is a board advisor for the Six Sigma Academy and a member of The Business Council. Dan received a B.A. (Economics) from Xavier University and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire. He has been presented with honorary degrees from Pepperdine University and Bentley College.
Karl Willig is a business consultant who serves on the boards of three companies and as board chair of the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission. He is also a vice president and board member of the Los Padres Council of Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Willig was the founding president and chief executive officer of InfoGenesis from May of 1986 until its sale in December of 2004. InfoGenesis was the leading world provider of large enterprise point-of-sale solutions for hospitality venues. The company's customers included Hyatt Hotels, Four Seasons, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, MGM-Mirage Casinos, Caesars Entertainment, and many others located in 47 states and 50 countries around the world. Before joining InfoGenesis Mr. Willig was managing partner of Santa Barbara Capital, a company engaged in the development of commercial and industrial real estate in Southern California. From 1976 to 1979 Mr. Willig held positions of increasing responsibility with Sambo's Restaurants, Inc., an operator of more than 1,100 company-owned restaurants located throughout the United States with revenues in excess of One Billion Dollars. Immediately prior to joining Sambo's Restaurants, Mr. Willig served as president of Rufenacht, Bromagen & Hertz, Inc. ("RB&H"), the largest commodity futures brokerage firm trading livestock futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. For the seven years 1970 to 1976, Mr. Willig worked in agribusiness. Mr. Willig earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Dean Donald Kirk David fellow. His undergraduate degree in business/accounting was earned magna cum laude from The College of Idaho. Prior to attending college and graduate school, Mr. Willig served as an enlisted man and commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. He was the distinction graduate from his class at Officers' Candidate School and won the Association of the United States Army award as the distinguished graduate of his class of 102 from the Armor Officers School at Fort Knox, Kentucky. |
